Philadelphia Fringe Festival – 14 Sequenzas

Next week, I’ll be joining 13 other talented Philadelphia and New York City musicians in a complete performance of Luciano Berio’s 14 Sequenzas, each written for a different solo instrument. Sequenza V for trombone was inspired by Grock, a famous clown and neighbor of Berio, and combines aspects of Grock’s stage show with many extended techniques on the trombone (multi phonics, playing while inhaling, plunger effects, and more) to create a very unique and exciting show. Not only are visitors able to hear all of these works with one ticket, but each piece will be performed multiple times, spread throughout various themed spaces in the venue.
